India is a graduate of The New School for Drama, MFA Directing program. She was an Asolo Repertory Theatre Directing Fellow for the 2018-2019 season. Her latest play Within This Tower was presented at FSU/Asolo Conservatory in their Late Night Series this past Spring. She made her film directing debut at the New York Indie Theatre Film Festival 2019 with a screening of her first short "SPF." She got her BA in Theatre with a Music Concentration from the University of Indianapolis where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
While in Indianapolis she developed a short adaptation of Poe's Cask of Amontillado that was picked up and taken to three festivals in the UK, winning seven awards. India loves reinventing musicals/plays along with supporting the development of new work. Her work focuses on character driven storytelling and she strives to make sure the female perspective is heard.
